About the Instructor
Amy has been teaching art for more than a decade, teaching on a wide range of topics such as plein air painting, perspective, encaustic painting, and gilding, but usually with a focus on painting and drawing the human figure. In recent years she has been shifting her artistic practice towards finding expressive and exploratory ways to express her ideas through paint, collage, and sculpture. Upcoming learning opportunities may include how to make meaningful work, to access play and creativity in your work, and more.
Email Amy here to hire her to teach or demonstrate at your art club or organization, or to inquire about private or upcoming classes.

Critiques
Amy facilitates free Art Critiques, sponsored by the Langley Arts Council, on the last Monday of most months in Langley BC (or, during the pandemic, virtually through a video conferencing platform). This is an opportunity for artists to get feedback on their work, and connect with other artists. Meetings touch on many aspects of the creative process, including technique and composition, as well as bigger questions like why we do what we do and how it impacts others. Join Amy for a night of discussion, input, and connection with other visual artists! Showing your own work is recommended but optional.
